Police Department
Sandy Oaks Police Department officers are dispatched by Bexar County Sheriff's Office Communication Division.
If there is an emergency, please dial 9-1-1.
If it is not an emergency, please call (210) 335-6000 and explain the situation to the dispatcher. Information will be relayed to the officer on duty.
Animal Control
The largest part of the Animal Control Officers' job is enforcement of city, county, state and federal ordinances pertaining to animals. The ACO addresses dogs at large, transporting animals in open bed trucks, unreasonably noisy/nuisance animals, illegal animals (livestock), and dangerous animals, bite and cruelty investigations, and is in charge of the care of animals in the city's 8-kennel Shelter Facility, handling adoptions, locating rescues, etc.

Municipal Court
Municipal Court page includes information on paying for citations and info on appearance in court, etc.
In many instances, people can resolve their citation without having to appear in person.
Public Works
The Public Works Department is responsible for a variety of items within the city, including street signs and poles, maintenance of public buildings and spaces, and ensuring areas within the city are properly maintained.
City Parks
The Sandy Oaks City Park is located at 4451 Hickory Haven and is open from 8:00am to dusk. Currently there is a 1/2 mile walking trail, a children's play area, basketball court, picnic tables and a pavilion.
