The City of Sandy Oaks Police Department is committed to developing a community partnership with an emphasis on integrity, fairness, and professionalism to positively impact quality of life and promote a safe environment by resolving problems, enforcing the law, and preserving the peace.
History
Sandy Oaks, Texas was incorporated in 2014 as a Type A, General Law City. Sandy Oaks created the Marshal’s Office; however, it was not established. In July 2019, Marshal Lopez was hired to establish the department. Shortly under two years, Marshal Lopez discontinued the Marshal’s Office and created/established the Sandy Oaks Police Department in May of 2021 and is the Chief of Police for the Department.
Sandy Oaks Police department employs 3 full-time Officers with two Patrol Officers and one Animal Control Officer.

Sandy Oaks Police Department officers are dispatched by Bexar County Sheriff's Office Communication Division. If there is an emergency, please dial 9-1-1. If it is not an emergency, please call (210) 335-6000 and explain the situation to the dispatcher. Information will be relayed to the officer on duty.
